TV Programme

Image
Hi dearest readers, today we're going to take a look at a TV program, or rather an American animated TV series, that I used to watch a lot when I was young. It's called Scooby-doo and the Mysterious Associates.  What's it about? This anime recounts the adventures of a group of friends made up of four teenagers and a talking dog: Scooby-doo - Fred Jones - Daphne Blake - Vilma Dinfley and Shaggy Rogers. This group of friends will travel the world in a magnificent van called "The Mystery Machine". Come to think of it, the name of the car hasn't been translated into French! Which means you can understand English from a very early age. If I remember correctly, I started watching this TV program at a very young age, at least 7. It was broadcast on Wednesday mornings. Being a non-problematic series: not too violent, not too sexist or not too racist (although at that age it's hard to tell the difference or notice), my parents let me watch it easily. Looking back o

BBC Learning English Website

HI FAU Bloggers ! If I had to evaluate the BBC Learning English Website, I'd say it's a very good site for practising and improving your English. The site is quite comprehensive, with different categories covering: courses, vocabulary, pronunciation, news...   What's more, each category has at least 2 different levels, so you can practice according to your basic level.  A wide range of support is available: videos, audio, articles, quizzes... If I could pick out a few negative points: the site is so full of options that you can quickly get lost, so I'd say the graphic design isn't explicit enough. Then there are some missing categories, such as written expression or aids to help you write better in English; and of course oral training (more than 1 word).  I was able to explore the site a little and evaluate each category in particular: COURSES  - EASY COURSES - English my way  - Unit 1 :session 7-  Ambulance  - It's a video course that lets you practice pronoun

More than a Friendship

Hi FAU Bloggers, Today I'm going to tell you the wonderful story of Maelys and Elena's relationship. Maelys is, of course, my best friend. It's easy to guess that we're about the same age, or close to it, given that Maelys was born in 2002 and I in  2003.  We met a long time ago, precisely 11 years ago now !!!! Wow, I didn't realize time go so fast.  We simply met at school , when we entered "collège" in France, which is equivalent to "educacion General basica" in Chile, if I'm not being silly. We were part of a group of 5 friends at the beginning, which has now changed of course...  At first we didn't really like each other, but as the years went by, and particularly at the end of secondary school, we started to get closer and share moments/activities together. And yes, the very foundation of our friendship began when we took up badminton together at school. We were a great team and got on very well together. Team competitions further

Kaira Looro - An organization you should know! Dear FAU Bloggers, Today I'd like to share a topic that I discovered recently and that I find extremely interesting. It's about the Kaira Looro organization.  Kaira Looro is a non-profit architectural event organized by the humanitarian organization Balouo Salo. The competition aims to raise awareness of humanitarian issues, raise funds for charitable projects and provide opportunities for young architects. Winning designs will be built as charity projects, with funds raised from entry fees. Award-winning projects are donated free of charge to Balouo Salo, which can share them with other organizations for the development of rural communities in Africa. The challenge of this year is not over yet. They had the result announced this 4th May but they aren't yet published.  So the Past Edition was The challenge of 2022's edition. The goal was to design a "Children's House" in Sengal, as a warm and welcoming place w
